For the successful Quality Manager our client is offering;
1. Salary of up to £47,000 per annum DOE
2. Monday – Thursday: 08.00am – 16.35pm, Friday: 08.00am – 13.00pm

The Role of the Quality Manager;
8. Review and revise the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications
9. Review customer requirements and make sure that they are met
10. Work with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
11. Set standards for Quality
12. Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards
13. Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
14. Define quality procedures in conjunction with the operating staff
15. Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
16. Monitor performance by gathering data and produce reports
17. Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements, and how to implement them
18. Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
19. Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
20. Assess the effectiveness of changes made
21. Lead initiatives in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
22. Ensure compliance with emerging standards (such as the international standard of ISO 9001:2015, IATF16949, ISO14001)
23. Train and manage a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors
What our client is looking for in a Quality Manager;
24. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an automotive environment - ESSENTIAL
25. Previous experience developing, implementing and maintaining QMS in line with standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949- ESSENTIAL
26. Planned and conducted internal audits and supported external audits, addressed non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
27. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen and reduce defects, rework and waste while improving efficiency and customer satisfaction
28. Perform risk assessments (FMEA) and implement preventative controls to minimise quality and operational risks
29. Deliver quality awareness and compliance training across all departments
30. Handled customer complaints and quality issues professionally and effectively
31. Analysed Quality metrics (KPI’s, defect rates, audit results) and reported performance and improvement plans to senior managers
