We are currently partnering with education sector client in Sheffield who are looking for a HR Manager to join their HR team on a full-time 9 month fixed term contract.
The salary for this role is circa £48,000 and our client offers the flexibility for some home-working 2 days per week. It is important for the HR Manager to have some flexibility to go on site visits when required to conduct some face-to-face meetings, although this will not be overly frequent.
The HR Manager is responsible for leading a team of 5 who are responsible for the Advisory and Partnering area of the business. The team provide a HR service which is predominantly advisory on a range of employee relations matters such as change management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management. There is also a lot of trade union activity alongside HR projects relating do ED&I and employee engagement.
The Role:
Develop and maintain all HR systems and procedures to ensure that HR management activity complies with legal requirements
Design and implement training, tools and interventions to develop managers skills, capability and confidence with relation to ER issues
Line management of the HR Advisors to ensure efficient and effective handling of all ER casework
Be an escalation point for the HR Advisors, supporting with disputes appropriately and utilising legal support as appropriate
