Site Manager, (Ops2 NGED)

£400 to £450 per day outside IR35

You will be managing subcontractors in the delivery of substation construction project at from £100,000 to £multi million pound schemes,
1. Understand the Company Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes
2. Manage and direct compliance to CDM regulations on site.
3. Lead and motivate a team of Sub-Contractors to deliver all aspects of planning and operations
4. Maintaining accurate records of site resources, materials and plant.
5. Produce reports in a timely manner
6. To liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and other interested third parties
7. To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure sub-contractors are performing to agreed production levels
8. To ensure quality checks are complete
9. To regularly undertake all necessary and appropriate Tool Box Talks, Briefings and other communications
10. Promote best practice, capture best practice and ensure it is fed-back into the business.
11. Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence including Inspections and Test Plans
You will be qualified in
12. NGED OPS2 (Operational Authorisation 2). It is acritical safety certification that enables a Site Manager to implement and manage the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) on National Grid Electricity Distribution networks
13. A number of year experience working within HV sector at 33kV or 132kV works.
14. A varied knowledge of substation equipment from various Original Equipment Manufacturers.
15. Knowledge of CDM 2015 (and ideally qualified in it).
16. Competent on Excel or MS Project or Primavera P6
17. Ability to lead and motivate people
18. Must have commercial awareness and understand the effect of site based activities on the project financial performance.
19. Full UK driving licence Required
20. First Aid (Full 4 day) Required
21. SMSTS Required
