Overview
We are looking for an experienced scrap metal recycling operative to join a busy yard based in Sheffield S9.
This is a temporary to permanent position working 7.30am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Compensation
Starting rate £14.00 per hour.
Requirements
Previous experience in processing, sorting and grading ferrous and non- ferrous metals is essential.
Experience on Fork lift (counterbalance) or grab crane would be an advantage.
Duties
* Assisting with loading and unloading
* Processing scrap- Shearing/burning etc
* Sorting materials by type
* Maintaining good housekeeping and safe working environment
* Assisting other operatives
