About The Role: The Weekend Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of meals and catering functions in collaboration with other kitchen staff. Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 7:00am – 1:00pm Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve food, including traditional breakfasts and basic cake items, following GFM recipes and preparation guidelines * Ensure proper food storage and adhere to hygiene and safety regulations * Participate in general and equipment cleaning tasks as outlined in schedules * Carry out stock taking and maintain records of stock levels and due diligence * Support compliance with all service agreements, statutory, and contractual obligations * Present a professional appearance, ensuring high standards of personal hygiene and appropriate uniform About You: * GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths * Previous experience in a similar catering or kitchen role * Experience working alongside chefs, preparing food to set recipes * Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food hygiene standards * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Analytical and problem-solving mindset * Able to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations * Resilient, proactive, and passionate about food and service * Ability to work independently and under pressure About Us: At GFM we pride ourselves on service, innovation and th...
