This is a hands-on, standalone role for a confident HR professional who enjoys working with autonomy and variety. You’ll be comfortable switching between the strategic and the practical — advising senior leaders on people strategy one moment and drafting an employment contract or leading a recruitment process the next. You’ll bring initiative, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach to help us continue building an engaging, fair, and forward-thinking workplace. What you’ll do Lead all aspects of recruitment and onboarding, ensuring we attract and retain great people who share our values. Coach and support managers across a wide range of people topics, including performance, wellbeing, and employee relations. Review and enhance HR policies, processes, and systems to drive consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience. Manage employee relations casework with confidence and professionalism, ensuring fair and timely outcomes. Collaborate with leaders on culture and engagement initiatives that support our organisational goals. Oversee monthly payroll inputs and HR data management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. What we’re looking for A CIPD-qualified (or equivalent experience) HR professional with broad generalist experience. Confident working independently and happy to roll up your sleeves - from strategy to admin. Excellent communicator and relationship-builder, able to work effectively at all levels. Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. Why Paddle UK?
