You’ll join our Strategic Insights Team, where we combine research, data analytics, and operational understanding to shape strategies that deliver effective services across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Visualisation Developer, you’ll transform complex data into compelling insights through Power BI dashboards that are visually engaging, intuitive, and impactful. Your work will help senior leaders make informed decisions that directly influence policing priorities.
• Design with Purpose: Create reports that follow best practices in layout, colour, and interactivity, bringing clarity and insight to data.
• Understand the Audience: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, uncover their challenges, and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
• Drive Engagement: Develop help guides, FAQs, video tutorials, and user-friendly resources to ensure reports are understood and adopted.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Work with a team of analysts and Power BI developers to test data quality and deliver accurate, trusted reporting solutions.
• Be a Voice for Insight: Represent the Strategic Insights Team in meetings and share your expertise with colleagues and partners.

Skills & Experience
Qualifications:- A Level or equivalent standard education.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:-
• Demonstrable ability to design and create reports in Microsoft Power BI from a variety of data sources. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide spectrum of people, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to be respectful, empathetic and non-judgemental, maintaining professional standards at all times.
• Problem solving skills including interpretation, analysis, evaluation and resolution from a range of data.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and to work to tight deadlines and within particular timeframes.
• Effective time management and prioritisation skills in order to ensure that the workload is managed to meet timescales without constant close supervision.
