About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at Johnson Matthey – Brimsdown. As part of the Sodexo catering team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service to staff and guests. This is a hands-on role requiring a passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals following provided recipes
* Deliver excellent customer service in a professional and courteous manner
* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
* Support with packed lunch preparation and dinner service
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and kitchen areas
* Complete due diligence paperwork using the Kelsius system
* Participate in performance reviews and training as required
* Work collaboratively with the team and independently when needed
* Adhere to all company and client policies, including health and safety and COSHH regulations
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a catering or cooking role
* Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and COSHH regulations
* Strong team player with good communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
* Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and attention to detail
* Willingness to undertake relevant training
