Job Overview
We are seeking a experienced griddle cook to assist in our small cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating both culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. This is a busy cafe. You will be required to help in other areas of the cafe when needed
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure all food safety guidelines are adhered to, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
* Support the culinary team with meal preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
* Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils.
* Provide support during service by assisting with serving dishes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
