Legal HR Manager – Europe We’re seeking a Legal HR Manager to take the lead on training, development, and retention across London and Paris at one of the most prestigious US law firms in the City! Although this role includes an element of Professional Development, its primary focus is driving HR initiatives for the firm’s Lawyers and Paralegal populations. Salary to £110,000 discretionary bonus £100 monthly employee contribution Free in-office lunch on Wednesdays Hybrid working – 4 days in the office / 1 day WFH Liverpool Street / City Key Responsibilities of the Legal HR Manager: Develop and implement professional development programmes in collaboration with the relevant practice management team, including orientation, training, retreats, and evaluations. Manage European Associate Advisor and Partner / Senior Counsel Mentor programmes. Manage the Firm’s secondment programme including drafting secondment agreements, collaborating with FP&A and Client Ops on secondment cost analysis and providing support to secondees as needed. Develop and implement office paralegal / associate mentoring programme. Conduct exit interviews for departing Associates and support year-end lawyer compensation processes. Partner with Practice Management team on staffing strategy and productivity across corporate and litigation practice areas to improve utilisation and resources. Conduct annual and mid-year Paralegal review processes, including soliciting, compiling, and delivering written evaluations. Partner with the Associate Director of Paralegal Services and Associate Director of HR - London to address paralegal personnel issues and conflicts Continue implementation of on-going paralegal training and professional development initiatives. Skills & Requirements of the Legal HR Manager: 5 years of HR experience at a large US or International law firm. In depth knowledge of the UK legal market and preferably working knowledge of the international legal market. Must demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills. A working knowledge of French would be helpful.
