We are seeking an organised and motivated HR Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage their own workload using initiative, proactivity, and strong prioritisation skills. The successful candidate will be keen to build their HR experience, develop their skills, and take a hands-on approach to supporting the wider HR team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the HR function operates efficiently by providing high-quality administrative and operational support across the department. Responsibilities will include maintaining accurate employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding processes, coordinating HR documentation, assisting with payroll and benefits administration and responding to internal queries in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality administrative support across the HR function to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations. Maintain accurate employee records on our HRIS, ensuring compliance with company procedures and confidentiality standards. Support a range of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, absence management, payroll administration, benefits administration, and employee documentation. Prepare and issue routine HR correspondence and documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Respond to HR-related queries from employees and managers, escalating matters where appropriate Provide administrative support for formal HR processes, including the preparation of accurate and confidential notes at meetings and hearings. Make appropriate and responsible use of Microsoft Copilot, Teams transcription tools, or similar Company approved AI technology to support note-taking, ensuring compliance with confidentiality, accuracy, and data protection requirements Build effective working relationships with managers, employees and external providers to support the delivery of HR services. Contribute to process improvement, reporting, and the effective coordination of wider HR initiatives. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion Collaborative and professional approach, with a commitment to delivering a high-quality HR service Previous experience within an HR department or similar people-focused environment Ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines in a busy environment Accurate and methodical approach to handling data, records, and documentation Confident written and verbal communication skills Proactive, with the ability to use initiative and working effectively as part of a team Confident in liaising with managers and supporting day to day operational processes Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience using and accurately maintaining HR systems such as Sage, BreatheHR, BrightHR, HiBob, or similar Experience using applicant tracking systems such as Pinpoint, Teamtailor or similar platforms to support recruitment administration and candidate management Good understanding of basic UK employment practices and HR processes Ability to draft professional correspondence and HR documentation
