THE EMPLOYER IS: VOICING THE VOID Voicing the Void is seeking a creative and motivated Videographer & Digital Storytelling Assistant to support the delivery and documentation of restorative storytelling projects across Northern Ireland. This role is ideal for a young person interested in film, media, social justice, and community work. The successful applicant will gain hands-on experience filming live events, workshops and performances, editing digital content, and supporting the creation of online training materials. They will work closely with the Founder and facilitators to help amplify lived experience voices in a safe, ethical and trauma-informed way. Full training and mentoring will be provided. The successful candidate will develop practical skills in ethical storytelling, digital media production and community engagement.
Responsibilities
* Filming workshops, performances and community events.
* Editing video content for social media and website use.
* Supporting the development of online training materials.
* Creating short promotional reels and impact videos.
* Assisting with podcast or interview recordings.
* Supporting digital archiving of projects.
* Ensuring consent and ethical storytelling guidelines are followed.
* Assisting with social media content creation.
* Supporting evaluation and impact reporting through digital content.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Interest in videography, media or digital storytelling.
* Basic knowledge of filming and editing (e.g. phone editing, iMovie, CapCut, Premiere Pro etc.)
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a small team.
* Willingness to learn.
* Respect for confidentiality and sensitive storytelling.
Desirable Skills
* Experience using DSLR or mirrorless cameras.
* Experience with Canva or social media scheduling.
* Interest in community work or social justice.
* Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
