Job Title: Labourer
Location: LN11 7PB (with possible travel to nearby sites)
Contract Type: Full-time /Temporary
Reporting to: Site Supervisor / Foreman
Purpose of the Role
To provide general manual support on construction / site works, assisting tradespeople and ensuring the site remains safe, clean and organised.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with loading, unloading, moving and organising materials, tools and equipment on site.
* Help set up and dismantle site works, including barriers, signage, site welfare, and work areas.
* Maintain housekeeping: keep walkways, work areas and welfare facilities clean and safe.
* Assist tradespeople (e.g., bricklayers, groundworkers, installers) with basic tasks as directed.
* Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision; ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
* Follow site health & safety standards and report any hazards, accidents or near-misses.
* Work outdoors in varying weather conditions; may be required to travel to other site locations as required.
* Other general labouring tasks as required by the Site Supervisor.
Essential Criteria
* Physically fit, able to lift and carry heavy loads, stand/walk for extended periods, work outdoors.
* Reliable, punctual, hard working with a good work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
* Willingness to wear correct PPE and adhere to health & safety rules.
Desirable Criteria
* Previous experience in construction or labouring roles.
* Valid CSCS card or other site induction credentials.
* Ability to use basic hand tools safely.
* Own transport or ability to reach site reliably.
Working Hours / Other Info
* Typical hours: (e.g., 08:00-17:00, Mon-Fri) - specify if early starts or weekends are required.
* Pay: (insert rate) - depending on experience.
* Start date: ASAP (or specify).
* On-site induction will be provided along with required training for health & safety as needed.
