Qualifications
There are several pathways to becoming a Site Manager. At a minimum, you will need 4 or more GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and at least 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent.
Level 3
You can study a BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment or an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship in Construction Contracting Operations or Civil Engineering.
Levels 4, 5 & 6
You can pursue a HNC, HND, Higher Apprenticeship, or Degree in Construction and the Built Environment or related subjects.
Salary Expectations
* Assistants/trainee site managers can earn £25,000 - £35,000
* Trained site managers with some experience can earn £35,000 - £45,000
* Senior or Chartered site managers can earn £45,000 - £50,000
Salaries and career prospects improve with chartered status.
