Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced data architect who has practical experience of migrating from a mainly on premise SQL Server based data architecture to a Cloud first architecture to create a clearly focussed data architecture that addresses the needs of the business, creating a single version of the truth in a complex data environment. This will include integration with 3rd party service providers and the ability to import and integrate large volumes of complex and sensitive data. You will be removing duplication and silos of data to create a clearly focussed data architecture that addresses the current and future needs of the business.
Responsibilities
* Identify a clear As-Is data architecture and work with key stakeholders and partners to create a target data architecture that removes duplication and increases integration across the business, providing insight into business operations.
* Develop a data architecture roadmap that is integrated with the business, application and infrastructure architectures to enable the business to expand its operational capacity.
* Lead migration journeys from on‑premise SQL Server toward a Cloud-first data architecture, ensuring data quality, governance and security during the transition.
* Coordinate with third-party service providers and manage the import and integration of large, complex, and sensitive data sets.
Qualifications
* Practical experience migrating from on-premise SQL Server based data architectures to Cloud-first architectures.
* Experience with integrating large volumes of complex and sensitive data and working with third-party service providers.
* Ability to identify and remove data duplication and silos while aligning with business needs.
* Hybrid role availability: 2 days per week at our client site in West Yorkshire.
