Job title: Digital Process Developer
Location: Samlesbury - Onsite
Salary: £47,683+ (Depending on skills & experience)
What you'll be doing:
* Analysing processes and toolset capability across the manufacturing organisation in order to identify opportunities for improvement, with a significant focus on digital manufacturing (i.e. numerically controlled subtractive, additive, and assembly processes)
* Trialling and assessing new digital manufacturing technology and making recommendations for capability procurement within manufacturing
* Supporting the introduction of new processes and toolsets
* Influencing the 'Digital Engineering' development programme to ensure that potential future capabilities are included for assessment on demonstration products
* Defining training requirements and supporting capability deployment into the business
* Reviewing the potential options to migrate legacy projects onto the new toolsets
* Delivering own work scope within the boundaries of the project objectives and providing updates to the wider team
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* CAD/CAM experience (preferably Siemens NX)
* Experience within a manufacturing discipline (preferably NC programming)
* Experience in manufacturing processes involving metallic, composite, or additive parts
* Experience in aerospace, automotive or a similar industry
* Experience in process and toolset development and deployment
* Knowledge of manufacturing principles such as closed loop manufacturing and Industry 4.0
Desirable:
* PLM (Product Life-cycle management) experience (preferably Teamcenter)
* Knowledge of 3D model-based definition (MBD) for geometric specification
* Vericut experience
* Robotics experience
* HNC, HND, Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
