Site Quality Manager

Overview
The Site Quality Manager reports to the Senior Site or Business Line Quality Manager. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing the quality control program to ensure systems are consistent with codes and standards. Must be a certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or an ASNT VT Level II with at least 5 years of experience in Quality and Inspection. Work environments include office, plant operations, or construction sites. Knowledge of ASME BPVC, AWS D1.X, NBIC, and API codes is required, along with the ability to inspect non-welding work. Safety awareness and proper use of tools and equipment are essential. The role involves working in plant or construction settings.
Responsibilities
1. Represent Bilfinger as the principal on-site Quality leader.
2. Monitor all quality activities from pre-mobilization to project completion.
3. Support the Bilfinger Quality Manual and related programs.
4. Manage and coordinate work assignments of technicians.
5. Collaborate with the Business Line Quality Manager for professional development.
6. Ensure project understanding and adherence to the Bilfinger Quality Manual.
7. Assist with package development and system turnovers.
8. Develop and maintain quality control objectives aligned with company policies.
9. Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
10. Interpret quality control processes and philosophies to project personnel.
11. Coordinate NDE vendor activities.
12. Provide inspection for in-place products.
13. Address customer quality issues.
14. Maintain knowledge of national standards and interpret them for the team.
15. Assist construction as needed.
16. Supervise the Cost Control and Scheduling Department, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Qualifications
* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs.
* Good hearing and comprehension skills.
* Ability to perform sedentary to heavy work.
* Proficiency with office equipment and inspection tools.
* Ability to climb and balance on various structures.
* Manual dexterity and physical fitness to handle various tasks.
* Ability to navigate uneven terrain and adverse weather conditions.
* Pass visual acuity and color blindness tests.
* Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
* Effective communication skills.
* Strong math and calculation skills.
* Ability to work under various tempos and maintain focus amid distractions.
* Decision-making capabilities.
* Attention to detail and ability to recall and observe details.
* Willingness to acquire additional certifications.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe.
* Willingness to travel on short notice and work overtime as needed.
* Ability to obtain TWIC/TSA clearance and pass safety training.
* Support for Bilfinger’s ASME/NBIC Code Stamp Program.
