Your New RoleAs the Strategic Pay & Reward Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to design and deliverprehensive pay and reward strategies that reflect organisational culture, support business priorities, and ensure fairness and transparency across all pay frameworks. You’ll manage the job evaluation scheme, lead pay modelling and workforce analytics, and oversee statutory reporting such as the Gender Pay Gap and Pay Policy Statement. Your expertise will aid the business to attract, retain, and motivate a diverse and high-performing workforce, while ensuringpliance with employment law and trade union negotiations. As a key member of the HR Senior Management team, you will champion the People and Culture strategy, promoting innovation, inclusivity, and strategic excellence.
What You’ll Need to SucceedYou’ll bring extensive experience and expertise in strategic pay and reward management, ideally withinplex organisations, including public sector or localernment settings. Key skills and attributes include:
1. Proven leadership and management of HR teams, fostering high-performance and inclusive working environments
2. A challenger mindset with the gravitas to build trusting relationships with senior stakeholders
3. In-depth knowledge of pay structures, job evaluation frameworks, benefits, equal pay legislation, and reward policies
4. Experience leading pay negotiations and consultations with trade unions and key stakeholders
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to lead workforce pay modelling, scenario planning, and produce insightful reports
6. Excellentmunication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and build strategic alliances
7. Ability to navigateplex political and regulatory environments, ensuringpliance and forward-thinking approaches
8. Adaptability to work flexibly across multiple locations in line with agile working policies
