The Opportunity
We are seeking a freelance Site Manager to join an established project team on a timber-framed residential development in Nottingham. You will oversee subcontractor activities, enforce quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For
* Qualifications: SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS Card
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in residential housing projects; timber frame knowledge is advantageous but not essential
* Background: At least 5 years of site management experience with leading construction contractors
* Key Skills: Strong IT skills, negotiation abilities, clear communication, attention to detail, adaptability, industry regulation knowledge, construction methodologies, and stakeholder collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain relationships with stakeholders
* Conduct quality inspections and assessments
* Implement strategies for project progress
* Prepare accurate project documentation
* Manage risks and mitigate challenges
* Report regularly to the Visiting Contracts Manager
* Build and sustain client relationships
* Contribute to strategic planning
* Ensure compliance with laws and standards
* Track project schedules and deadlines
* Create and deliver progress reports
* Identify and address potential risks
* Resolve project issues promptly
* Develop project schedules with milestones and dependencies
* Respond to client inquiries and ensure satisfaction
* Utilize project management tools for planning and coordination
