The Role
As Senior Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Construction Director, commercial team, consultants, and subcontractors to drive performance and maintain the exceptional standards expected of a bespoke development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overall management and coordination of the site team and subcontractors
2. Delivering the project to programme, budget, and quality targets
3. Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and finish throughout
4. Ensuring full compliance with H&S, NHBC, Building Regulations, and company procedures
5. Managing site logistics, sequencing, and short-term programmes
6. Liaising with clients, consultants, inspectors, and local authorities
7. Leading by example on health & safety, quality control, and site presentation
8. Resolving technical and buildability issues efficiently and proactively
9. Reporting progress regularly to senior management
About You
10. Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site Manager on bespoke or high-end residential developments
11. Track record of successfully delivering multi-unit housing schemes
12. Strong technical knowledge of traditional build and/or high-quality modern construction methods
13. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
14. Proactive, detail-focused, and quality-driven approach
15. Comfortable managing demanding programmes and multiple stakeholders
Qualifications & Certifications
16. SMSTS (essential)
17. First Aid at Work
18. CSCS (Black or Gold preferred)
19. NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management or equivalent (desirable)
