FTE Salary: £27,269 - £29,093 / Pro-Rata (Actual) Salary: £21,390 – £22,821

Job Purpose
You will report to the Academy Business Manager and Catering Operations Manager. The cook will ensure the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused catering service to pupils, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include food preparation, service, menu planning, weekly documentation, supply ordering, and stock control. You will also help organize theme days and events to promote the catering service. The successful candidate will ensure all tasks meet hygiene, health, and safety standards in compliance with policies and procedures.
Main Duties
* Prepare and produce meals, desserts, jacket potatoes, etc.
* Ensure timely service of meals to staff and pupils.
* Assist in organizing staff work schedules and cleaning rotas.
* Prepare ingredients and dishes such as sandwiches, vegetables, salads, etc.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchens and food service areas, including equipment.
* Receive and store deliveries safely.
* Manage waste effectively.
* Prepare and serve hospitality as needed.
* Keep food service areas tidy and organized, following the 'Clean as you go' policy.
