Title: Developer
Location: Hybrid / Stockport – 1 day a week (Thursday)
Salary: Dependent on experience
The Role
We’re looking for a flexible, communicative Developer to join Mycannabis, a fast-moving digital business in the medical cannabis space.
You’ll support teams across marketing, product, and operations—jumping between projects, solving problems, and delivering clean, scalable code. Expect a mix of WordPress and Laravel work, bug fixing, feature building, and general tech support across the business.
This is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety, works well with non-technical teams, and loves making an impact.
What You’ll Do
* Build and maintain websites/web apps (WordPress + Laravel)
* Jump into ongoing projects, fix bugs, ship features
* Collaborate with design/content to bring ideas to life
* Improve performance, UX, and internal workflows
* Support teams with technical insights and problem-solving
* Stay on top of best practices and suggest new tools or approaches
Must-Have Skills
* Great communication and helpful attitude
* Comfortable switching between projects and teams
* 3+ years in web development
* WordPress (PHP)
* Solid HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Git
Bonus Skills
* Node.js / React
* Laravel experience
* End-to-end testing (e.g. Playwright, Cypress)
* DevOps (CI/CD, Docker)
* Shopify / WooCommerce
* SEO, accessibility, or AI
* Jira (or similar tools)
* Interest in the medical cannabis space
