Job Requirements
Job Purpose
Promote the principles of Quality Improvement and manage the QA and QE functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure health and safety compliance across the site
* Manage the site Quality Engineering and QA teams
* Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and instructions throughout manufacturing
* Develop and implement processes to improve quality, customer satisfaction, and margins using tools like CAPA and PDCA
* Identify and deploy local Continuous Improvement activities, including cross-functional training and coaching
* Manage site QA and Goods Inwards inspection activities
* Represent quality in APQP/NPI processes, including MSA, FMEA/QCP, inspection sheets, and work procedures
* Investigate internal customer and supplier quality issues; develop corrective and preventive actions
* Escalate unresolved issues and complaints involving insurance claims
* Report and communicate Quality KPIs to the Director of Quality and site teams
* Handle customer-facing communications related to Quality issues or queries
* Perform any other reasonable tasks within your capabilities and follow management requests
Knowledge, Skills & Expertise
* Experience in Quality Engineering/Management, preferably in automotive
* Familiarity with quality tools like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, CAPA, PDCA
* Development and monitoring of KPIs
* Auditing to ISO 9001 standards, including internal and third-party audits
* Promotion of inspection techniques and continuous improvement initiatives
* Training staff in Quality and CI activities across departments
Qualifications/Education
* Literate and numerate
* Engineering qualification (preferred)
* CI or quality management qualification (preferred)
