An ambitious and fast-growing organisation within the space sector is seeking a Quality Manager to establish and lead its Quality function in Glasgow.
This is a critical hire for someone who can demonstrate proven experience building and scaling an embryonic Quality function within a highly regulated, precision engineering environment.
The Role
* Establish and develop the Quality Management System (QMS).
* Build and grow the Quality team alongside business expansion.
* Implement robust QC processes (incoming, in-process, and final inspection).
* Oversee NDT activities and inspection standards.
* Lead structured root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) and drive effective CAPA.
* Manage audits, compliance, and supplier quality assurance.
* Embed a proactive, right-first-time quality culture across engineering and production.
Requirements
* Proven track record of developing or transforming an early-stage Quality function.
* Strong background in QC methodologies and inspection techniques.
* Experience overseeing NDT processes.
* Demonstrable root cause analysis capability with measurable outcomes.
* Experience within space, aerospace, defence, or other highly regulated advanced manufacturing sectors.
* Strong working knowledge of ISO-compliant QMS (e.g. ISO 9001 / AS9100).
