We are seeking an experienced HR professional to provide join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. The HR Officer will support the HR Partner and managers in delivering a comprehensive HR administrative and operational service across the practice, ensuring effective support across the employee lifecycle.

Main duties of the job
Mainduties & responsibilities:
The HR Officer will provide comprehensive HR administrative & support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring effective HR processes & compliance within the practice.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate staff records in line with GDPR requirements, preparing contracts & variation letters, supporting recruitment activities including advertising roles, coordinating interviews, & conducting pre-employment checks.
The role will oversee onboarding & offboarding processes, ensuring new starter documentation, inductions & leaver procedures are completed in accordance with practice policies.
Maintain mandatory training & appraisal records, monitor compliance, & issue timely reminders to staff and managers
Supporting absence management, maternity & family leave administration, maintaining HR systems, leave management platforms to ensure accurate workforce data. The role will assist with payroll and contract changes, maintain workforce compliance records for CQC requirements,& produce HR reports & workforce metrics.
The post holder will also provide administrative support in employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, & capability cases, maintaining confidential documentation & case files.
Responsibilities may also include monitoring visa sponsorship records where applicable, supporting ARRS onboarding processes, and assisting with updates to HR policies in line with employment law & practice needs.

Job responsibilities
To provide a proactive andprofessional HR service to managers and staff in person, via email or otherwritten correspondence as well as over the phone while supporting themaintenance of HR systems or databases, policies and protocols.
Mainduties & responsibilities
Filing, scanning,upload relevant records, ensuring staff records are maintained and thatperiodic tidying up of records is undertaken in line with current GDPR policies
* responding to emails and raising queries asneeded managing multiple mailboxes
* producing authorised contracts /variation ofcontracts and letters
* running audits and reports
* liaising with external agencies
* organizing induction and ensuring all new starter paperwork iscompleted and relevant information provided to the relevant departments
* takeresponsibility of the full onboarding and offboarding process
* conducting pre-employment and ongoing checks
* Placing ofadvertisements and managing candidate correspondence including invitations tointerview
* co-ordinating the new starters/leaversadministration process from end to end ensuring accurate offer pack andsupporting documents are issued in line with Practice Policy and Procedure

* HR Systems & Data Management - Maintain HRIS/ leave management systems (e.g., Whos Off)- Ensure data accuracy across HRsystems
* Maternity / Family Leave Administration - Administermaternity, paternity, shared parental leave processes
* Track maternity leave accrual (annual leave andbank holidays)
* Liaise with payroll regarding any statutorypayments
* Absence Management Administration- Maintain andmonitor sickness absence records and calculate Bradford scores
* Prepare documentation and meeting packs forattendance reviews
* Track monitoring periods and review dates
Person Specification
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in an HR role.
* Experience working in a GP practice, primary care, or NHS environment.
Qualifications
* CIPD Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Human Resource Practice.
* Educated to GCSE level or above, or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English Language
Skills
* Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office
