The Operations & Quality Manager is responsible for working with partner communities to oversee quality and operational initiatives. This role involves collaborating with internal and external partners to implement Welltower's governance program for the RIDEA portfolio in the UK. The position also participates in quality and operational initiatives across the UK portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulatory schemes governing care homes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review the current care, quality, and operational status of third-party operators by analyzing statutory reports, KPI data, CQC reports, and other relevant information.
* Develop quarterly trend reports for board meetings of operating subsidiaries, including recommendations for improvements and summaries of visits and actions.
* Conduct in-person, comprehensive quality monitoring and audit visits to Welltower-registered care homes, aligning with current regulatory standards or guidance.
* Create audit assessment reports with clear findings and recommended action plans, followed by ensuring implementation and re-visits based on risk assessments.
* Participate in quarterly quality meetings with leadership to discuss care quality trends, CQC reports, and governance or clinical quality topics.
* Stay updated on best practices and communicate developments to operating partners’ quality and leadership teams.
* Support and enhance the delivery of a quality assurance and clinical governance system aimed at continuous improvement and positive resident outcomes.
* Assist with transactional tasks related to CQC registrations and regulatory structuring.
* Manage registrations and updates for care homes, collaborating with third-party operators to maintain proper registration of homes and general managers.

TRAVEL
Approximately 60% travel is expected, mostly local within London and surrounding areas (2-3 days per week).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in the seniors care sector, preferably with clinical background and CQC registration experience.
