Employment Legal Counsel
Location: London (Hybrid)
Start Date: March 2026
Duration: 12 months (Contract Role)
Our client is seeking an experienced Labour & Employment Counsel to support UK-focused employment law matters. The role partners closely with HR, Employee Relations, leadership, and external counsel on advisory, contentious, and transactional employment matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic, pragmatic employment law advice to HR, ER, mobilisation teams, and senior stakeholders.
* Support and oversee employment litigation and pre-litigation matters.
* Lead employment law projects and contribute to global initiatives.
* Advise on outsourcing, M&A, and post-merger integration from an employment law perspective.
* Support industrial relations and collective consultation matters.
* Develop internal employment law guidance and identify process improvements.
* Track legal developments and embed changes into business practices.
Requirements
1. England & Wales qualified solicitor with strong Employment Law expertise (6+ years’ PQE minimum)
2. Experience across advisory, contentious, and transactional employment matters.
