An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Bed and Site Team. We are a friendly, supportive team with a unique role that spans both clinical and operational services across the Trust. We work in line with the Trust’s PRIDE values and lead by example in everything we do.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced nurses with a passion for delivering high-quality care. You will act as a role model, providing clinical leadership, teaching and support to nursing teams, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across all divisions. We are a diverse and inclusive team, committed to supporting staff and ensuring patients receive the care they deserve.

The Clinical Bed and Site Team is responsible for patient flow across wards and departments, including the day-to-day operational management of the hospitals and oversight of the departure lounges at King George’s and Queen’s Hospitals. The team works clinically, responds to emergencies and supports both nursing and medical staff. During major incidents, the team undertakes a key role as Bronze Command.

Main duties of the job

Monitor patient movement through the Emergency Department to ensure ED standards are achieved, act as an ambassador for escalation status by instigating further action in discussion with senior management or the on-call team, provide clinical support to junior nursing and medical staff while acting as a professional role model, and promote Trust values by supporting teams to achieve local and national targets for patient access and care.
