Norse Catering deliver fantastic, locally sourced menus to residents in Norfolk Care Homes created with customer feedback in mind to ensure mealtimes are something to look forward to.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join the team at Rose Meadow, our residential care home, working 27.75 hours per week across a two-week rota:
* Week 1: Wednesday 7.30-18.00, Saturday 7.30-18.00, Sunday 7.30-18.00
* Week 2: Wednesday 7.30-18.00, Thursday 7.30-18.00, Friday 7.30-18.00
Responsibilities
* Preparing, cooking, and serving of food, ensuring the dietary requirements of residents are met
* Supporting with the training of the catering team to maintain excellent customer service
* Complying with Health and Safety and food hygiene procedures, ensuring these are always adhered to
* Creating innovative displays and meals to promote healthy food choices
What we are looking for
* Experience in a busy kitchen environment with an organised approach to tasks
* Understanding of the food industry, costs and working to a set budget
* Passion for delivering excellent customer service with strong communication skills and adaptability
* Ideally knowledge of Health and Safety and the Food Safety Act; however full training can be provided
