About the Role
We are looking for a Countryside Ranger to join our small team to ensure the implementation of practical work at the Council’s woodlands and informal open spaces across North Norfolk, maintaining them as high quality public spaces. The team is responsible for the day-to-day management of these sites for community recreation, nature conservation and forestry.
Key responsibilities include:
* Practical woodland and conservation management
* Dealing with the public
* Looking after volunteers
* Helping to deliver school, group, and family events
About You
You will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of practical experience and knowledge of woodland management. A polite disposition, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential. Experience in customer service and working with volunteers is also required.
A flexible approach to working hours and access to transport is essential, as you will be required to work at various sites.
