Community and Enterprise Resources are seeking to recruit a Cook-in-Charge responsible for managing a quality catering service within a premise and supervising a team of Facilities Assistants (catering).
Your responsibilities will include duty allocation, work rotas, basic training, maximizing attendance, clerical and financial duties related to catering, meal preparation, ordering, quality audits, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Effective communication skills, initiative, workload prioritization, teamwork, and customer service experience are essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervising a team of Facility Assistants (Catering), including training, recruitment, attendance management, and team briefings.
2. Ensuring the provision of quality service, managing stock and quality control issues.
3. Handling cash, balancing, and recording financial transactions (CDCH3).
4. Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of menu items.
5. Managing function work and food transfer for serving.
6. Performing practical tasks related to food storage, preparation, cooking, service, and cleaning.
