We're searching for a dedicated Cook to join our team and help us serve up food that truly matters.
Reporting to the Unit Manager, you'll take the lead in preparing and serving nutritious, balanced meals that are tailored to the individual needs of the people we support. That means planning varied menus, taking dietary requirements into account, and using fresh produce whenever possible.
You'll manage food stocks, place orders, oversee food prep and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. You'll also supervise other catering staff, helping to create a calm, well-run environment.
And importantly, you'll invite service users to take part in food-related activities where appropriate - turning meals into something people can enjoy being part of, not just receiving.
An Elementary Food Handling Certificate
• Previous experience in a catering environment
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety legislation
