With over 6.5GW of BESS now under construction and more than 130GWh of approved projects working toward grid connection by 2030, experienced Site Managers who can run complex, multi‑discipline sites are in acute demand, and that demand is only growing.
We are working with a portfolio of leading EPC contractors and principal contractors delivering some of the UK's most significant energy projects, including grid‑scale BESS facilities (50MW–1.4GW), utility‑scale solar farms (50MW–500MW+), and hybrid solar‑plus‑storage sites across England. These are long‑running contracts on high‑profile projects where your work genuinely contributes to the UK's clean energy transition.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Day‑to‑day management of site operations, programme and quality across a grid‑scale BESS or solar EP P project
* Coordinating multi‑discipline subcontractors – civils, structural, electrical (LV/MV/HV), and BESS installation teams
* Ensuring works are delivered safely to programme, within budget and to specification
* Managing site inductions, RAMS approvals, toolbox talks, permit‑to‑work systems and site safety audits
* Liaising with the client's project management team, DNO/grid representatives and statutory bodies
* Producing weekly progress reports and contributing to look‑ahead programmes and schedule recovery plans
* Managing snagging, commissioning interfaces and handover documentation to the client
* Controlling site costs, plant and materials and reporting against the project budget
* Mentoring and directing junior site management staff and subcontractor supervisors
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Proven Site Manager experience on ground‑mount solar, BESS, or large‑scale electrical/civils EPC projects – essential
* First Aid at Work certification – essential
* CSCS Black Card (Managers & Professionals) or Gold Card with relevant trade background
* Strong subcontractor management experience across civil, electrical and mechanical scopes
* Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 or FIDIC contract environments – desirable
* Full UK driving licence and full site‑based flexibility across England – essential
* HV/LV awareness; AP/CP credentials a strong advantage on BESS‑focused projects
* Experience with Procore, Aconex or equivalent site management / document control systems – desirable
