What is the role?
We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager to join our Construction Team, reporting to the Construction Director. The role involves managing the construction site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
The Role Will Include
1. Managing the construction site to meet deadlines, specifications, and safety regulations, adhering to company and industry standards.
2. Ensuring all quality and safety inspections are conducted according to standards and guidelines.
3. Coordinating with external parties such as warranty providers, local authorities, and utility companies to maintain progress.
4. Maintaining accurate records, including staff inductions, health and safety documentation, timesheets, incident reports, and quality checklists.
5. Calling off and storing materials appropriately and timely.
6. Supervising workforce activities, including subcontractors, to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
7. Collaborating with other departments like Sales and Customer Care to meet targets and resolve issues promptly.
8. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies to minimize incidents.
9. This role involves travel across various sites and occasional trips to other Group offices.
What we need from you?
* Experience in the house building industry is essential.
* Knowledge of NHBC, LABC, or Premier standards.
* Understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
* Current CSCS Card.
* SMSTS certification is preferred.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management is preferred.
