Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer / HR Administrative Officer to join our team. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage HR processes efficiently while ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering all HR functions — from recruitment and onboarding to maintaining accurate employee records — with a strong emphasis on digital HR systems.
Duties
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and exit processes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR digital platforms.
* Advise managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practice.
* Support performance management, learning & development, and staff engagement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and GDPR requirements.
* Generate HR metrics and reports for management.
* And other HR related tasks
Qualifications
* CIPD Qualification (Level 3 minimum; Level 5 or above desirable).
* Proven experience in HR administration or HR officer-level role.
* Demonstrable experience in using HR digital platforms (e.g. Odoo, Zohoo, BambooHR, PeopleHR, iTrent, or similar).
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Desirable Skills
Experience in the education or not-for-profit sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
