Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Handyman to join our client’s site operations team. This role is ideal for someone hands‑on, dependable, and eager to grow within a busy industrial environment. The successful Maintenance Fitter will support routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general site duties to ensure safe and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment.
Your Role
As a Handyman your duties will include:
1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on plant and machinery
2. Supporting senior fitters and engineers with repairs and installations
3. Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition
4. Keeping work areas clean, safe and well‑organised
5. Following all site health and safety procedures
6. Carrying out general site duties as required
Requirements
7. Mechanical knowledge or experience in a similar role
8. Willingness to learn and follow instructions
9. Strong teamwork skills
10. Reliable, punctual and positive attitude
11. Awareness of health & safety practices
12. Experience using hand and power tools
13. Availability for overtime and callouts when required
Desirable skills for a Handyman
14. Experience within manufacturing or an industrial environment
15. Ability to complete safety documentation
16. Forklift or MEWP licence
17. Basic welding or fabrication skills
18. Plumbing experience
Pay & Shifts
19. £28,000 – £35,000 per year (depending on experience and successful interview)
20. Full‑time position (12 Month FTC)
21. Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00
22. Friday 08:00-13:00
