Base pay range
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality assurance systems for project operations.
* Ensure alignment with UK rail safety regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain certifications.
* Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and quality outcomes.
* Conduct regular internal and supplier audits, inspections, and reviews. Prepare reports and corrective action plans.
* Assist in the management of external audits (RISQS/PCL/ISO).
* Oversee the production of Non-Conformance Reports across all aspects of project delivery in Scotland and collaborate with the wider quality team in the UK.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of materials, components, and services used in projects.
* Maintain accurate records of quality activities and report findings to senior leadership and external auditors.
* Act as focal point of contact for all quality documentation required for project handback and entry into service, including milestone events and health & safety file compilation.
* Attend client meetings regularly, managing client requirements for all quality matters.
* Liaise with the Quality team throughout the UK and the company to demonstrate collaborative working and strategic developments and opportunities.
* Work within company safety guidelines, adhering to the requirements of The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and Network Rail guidelines.
* Carry out any other reasonable related duties.
The Person
* GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
* Experience of working in an engineering, construction or rail industry
* Official Quality Qualification (CQI or similar)
* Internal Auditor (ISO9001:2015 or similar)
* Strong IT skills and use of a variety of software and programs
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role at managerial level as well as a strong background in advising and actioning
* Excellent organisational skills
* Lead Auditor (ISO9001:2015 or similar) desirable
* Valid UK driving licence
* Willing to Travel
