We are seeking 2 cooks to join our team,
11am to 4pm Wednesday to Sunday
4pm to 9pm Wednesday to Sunday,
With the opportunity for more hours going into busy periods.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a keen interest in creating delicious meals that delight our guests. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety regulations are adhered to.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients are available for meal preparation.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications to deliver high-quality meals consistently.
* Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes or improvements based on seasonal ingredients or customer feedback.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse cuisines.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
* A team player who can collaborate effectively with kitchen staff while also being able to work independently when required.
