Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled culinary professional to join our team as a Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and service, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with experience in various culinary settings, including fine dining and catering.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals following established recipes and menu plans.
* Assist in menu planning, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of dishes.
* Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
* Handle food items safely and efficiently, demonstrating excellent knife skills.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Provide support in catering events, including setup, serving, and cleanup.
* Engage with guests to deliver outstanding food service experiences.
* Participate in training new staff members on food handling and preparation techniques.
Experience
* Proven experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
* Background in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal preparation processes.
* Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
* Experience in catering services is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
