Afrikindness is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PHP/WordPress Developer to join our team on a volunteer basis.

What are we looking for?

Responsibilities:

* Develop, optimise, and maintain websites and applications using PHP, WordPress, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
* Modify WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific functional and aesthetic needs.
* Convert prototype designs and mockups into fully functioning websites and applications.
* Ensure the reliability and performance of digital platforms through database management, backend coding, and email notification systems.
* Work independently on native PHP applications, with knowledge of Laravel and Vue.js being a plus.
* Utilise version control tools like GIT for collaboration and source code management.
* Commit to a minimum of 3 hours weekly to contribute to Afrikindness's digital initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Proven experience as a PHP developer with a portfolio of completed projects.
* Expertise in WordPress development, including themes and plugins modification.
* Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
* Familiarity with database management and SQL (MySQL).
* Experience with GIT version control.
* Ability to translate prototypes into live websites and applications.
* Knowledge of Laravel and Vue.js is highly desirable.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills for remote work.
* Passionate about contributing to charitable causes and willing to volunteer time.
