We are looking for a Fitness Instructor to join our team. We are looking for someone who has a real passion for fitness along with the relevant qualifications. As a Fitness Instructor, you need to inspire people to train, to tailor the workouts to the individual making them fun and effective, ensuring that they use the equipment both effectively and safely.
In this role you will also be our Exercise GP Referral Instructor to provide support for the GP Referral Programme, giving advice on safe exercise prescription to clients and evaluating the results from the programme. Ideally you will have the GP referral qualification, First Aid Certificate and a Certificate in Defibrillation.
The role of a Fitness Instructor is varied and interesting as you never know who your next client is going to be, so you will need to possess excellent people skills to build peoples trust and confidence in you. Variety comes with being a Fitness Instructor and no two days are the same, you could be carrying out one to one training, offering workout advice, checking the equipment, or teaching a class. If you have the skills and passion, we want to hear from you.

Hours: 7 hours per week, Monday - Sunday (rota basis)
Requirements
1. Professional related fitness qualification
2. Exercise referral qualification Level 3 GP referral
3. CIMSPA Registered
4. Experience of managing a varied workload.
5. Previous Fitness Operational experience
6. Health Promotions experience
7. The skill to establish key customer relationships swiftly and appropriately.
8. Excellent communicator
9. Excellent people management skills
10. Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally
11. Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of colleagues
Desirable
12. Group exercise related qualification
13. Group Exercise Teaching Experience
14. First Aid at work
15. Cardiac Rehab qualification Level 4
16. Experience of sales
17. An ability to analyse problems, situations and information, think laterally and present creative solutions
18. Assertive and use of initiative
