£30K base + £10-15K OTE

The Company

We're partnering with a fast-growing events business that owns and operates several major UK exhibitions across sport, outdoor, leisure and pets. They run the leading annual pet trade show in the UK, bringing together brands across cat & dog nutrition, veterinary products, aquatics, accessories, and pet retail.

The organisation has grown quickly since 2018, now employing over 60 people with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality B2B exhibitions. Due to continued expansion and strong demand in the pet sector, they're now hiring a Sales Executive to join the team.


The Role

This is a proactive, new-business focused sales role selling stand space and sponsorship packages for a large-scale B2B exhibition held at the annually. You'll be speaking with brand managers, product managers, marketing leaders and business owners across the pet and aquatics industry.

You'll be responsible for generating your own pipeline through outbound outreach while also working warm leads from marketing. You'll run discovery calls, consult with exhibitors on their event goals, build tailored packages and close deals. It's a high-activity environment that suits someone confident, personable and motivated.

You'll work from the Guildford office three days per week, collaborating with the wider events team, learning the sector, and receiving ongoing coaching. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within events, progressing into account management, sales management, or event leadership.


Responsibilities:

* Sell exhibition stand space and sponsorship packages for a major UK event.
* Make 50 outbound calls per day to generate new opportunities.
* Build and manage a strong pipeline across UK and international prospects.
* Engage brand managers, marketing teams and business owners in the pet sector.
* Manage inbound and marketing-generated leads.
* Maintain CRM accuracy and report on activity and pipeline.


Requirements:

* 1-2 years of B2B sales experience (events experience is a strong advantage).
* Confident, likeable and motivated - comfortable in a high-activity role.
* Not overly corporate; someone who can build rapport naturally.
* Interest in pets, animals or the wider industry (desired but not essential).
* Able to travel to the office at least three days per week.
* Strong communicator with good organisation and follow-up skills.


The Package

* £30,000 base salary.
* £10-15K OTE (monthly commissions).
* 25 days holiday.
* Pension, laptop, mobile, expenses.
* Full training on exhibition sales, industry products and event operations.
* Clear progression routes: Account Manager, Sales Manager, Event Manager.
