Our client are a Merseyside based retrofit installer, providing energy-saving measures to homeowners and tenants in the North-West of England.
Due to a busy pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team delivering retrofit and refurbishment works within the social housing sector. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-expanding market focused on improving energy efficiency and living standards across existing housing stock.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on retrofit projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Projects will primarily involve upgrades to occupied residential properties.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage site operations across multiple retrofit schemes
* Supervise subcontractors including insulation installers, electricians, and plumbers
* Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
* Coordinate works in occupied properties, maintaining strong tenant relationships
* Monitor programme timelines, budgets, and quality standards
* Conduct site inspections, snagging, and project handovers
* Ensure compliance with PAS 2035 and relevant retrofit standards
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within social housing or construction.
* Strong knowledge of retrofit works (e.g. EWI, IWI, heating upgrades, ventilation)
* SMSTS qualification
* Valid CSCS card
* First Aid certification
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
Desirable
* Experience working to PAS 2035 standards
* Retrofit-related qualifications or training
* Experience managing works in occupied homes
