Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing excellent service.
This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting both the housekeeping and catering needs of the nursery. You will:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the nursery, including playrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, and communal areas.
* Support with laundry and ensuring resources are clean and ready for use.
* Cover cooking duties when our nursery cook is absent—preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children, following dietary requirements and allergy procedures.
* Work as part of the team to ensure the nursery environment is safe, welcoming, and homely for children and families.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards (experience in a childcare or similar setting is desirable).
* Confident in preparing and cooking meals (training can be provided, food hygiene certificate is an advantage).
* Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Friendly, approachable, and committed to creating a positive environment for children.

Pay: £12.61 per hour
