Site Manager – The Company
Our client is a well-established and growing main contractor with a strong reputation across Bristol + 40 mins. They specialise in commercial refurbishment projects, typically ranging from £100k to £1m in value, delivering a wide variety of works across multiple sectors.
The business is busy, financially stable, and known for producing good-quality work while also investing in their people.
Site Manager – The Role
This is a genuine opportunity for either a Junior Site Manager or an experienced trade professional who is ready to step into site management with the right support.
You will take responsibility for running small to medium refurbishment projects, leading the site day-to-day while remaining hands-on when required. This is not a “sit in the cabin” role — you’ll be expected to lead from the front, particularly on fast-paced or labour-heavy phases.
Supervisory and management responsibility will grow as your experience develops, with clear progression for the right individual.
Site Manager – Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of refurbishment projects
* Supervising subcontractors and direct labour
* Maintaining health & safety standards on site
* Coordinating works to programme
* Hands-on involvement when required to keep projects moving
* Managing quality, workmanship and site presentation
* Liaising with contracts management and suppliers
Site Manager – The Person
* SSTS or SMSTS is essential
* Trade background preferred (carpentry ideal, but not essential)
* Experience working on refurbishment or construction projects
* Some supervisory or site leadership experience
* Comfortable managing subcontractors and labour
* Practical, hands-on and leads by example
* Wants to progress and develop within site management
