Position reports to: Assistant Spa & Leisure Manager and Head of Spa & Leisure.
Location: Aldwark Manor Estate, Aldwark, Nr. Alne, York, YO611UF
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Salary: 21 & over £12.30

Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned hotel with golf nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate. Set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside, this luxury hotel offers a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for weddings.
Recent renovations include the bedrooms, restaurant, residents lounge, sports bar, and all public areas. New spa, leisure areas, meeting rooms, and additional bedrooms are opening soon, with leisure facilities opening later this year and the new spa, bedrooms, and meeting space opening in 2026.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated team member passionate about health and fitness, strong in teamwork, and driven to excel in this exciting new position at Aldwark Manor Estate.
Main purpose of the role: To ensure that Spa & Leisure guests are welcomed and that the areas are maintained to the highest standards. To perform fitness classes with top-quality service.
Main duties include:
* Providing high customer service from pre-arrival to departure for residents and leisure guests.
* Maintaining high gym floor standards with consistent exercise outcomes and encouraging safe equipment use.
* Keeping all fitness equipment clean and in proper working order.
* Assisting with guest meet and greets, spa orientation, check-ins, check-outs, payments, and inquiries at Spa reception.
* Ensuring hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness in the leisure area.
* Following opening and closing procedures for the department.
* Assisting with cleaning and light maintenance of equipment.
* Maintaining personal hygiene standards.
* Monitoring and controlling pool standards as per the maintenance manual.
* Handling cash and performing end-of-shift cashing up.
* Carrying out pool and spa tests and taking corrective actions if needed.
* Providing refreshments to spa, hotel, and leisure guests.
* Managing towels, robes, and slippers for spa guests and residents.
* Regularly checking and cleaning changing rooms and laundry.
* Monitoring pool cleanliness and equipment functionality.
