The role
This role sits within Jisc’s Group CTO directorate, home to most of our technical capability and responsible for delivering our digital vision.You’llbe part of Workplace IT, in the Finance Systems Team, which develops and supports the financial systems that underpin ourcustomer‑facingwork.
You’llfocus on developing, supporting, andmaintainingthe D365 Finance & Operations platform,designingand optimising technical solutions, and providing expert input into enhancements. The team delivers 2nd‑and 3rd‑line technical support, resolves break/fix issues, and delivers both operational changes andproject‑basedimprovements.
What you’ll be doing
* Provide Platform development, system administration, and create/maintainthe system and user documentation in-line with Jisc requirements and industry best practice.
* Develop and deliver solutions aligned to the enterprise architecture,Platformand IT strategy, fulfilling the associated governance requirements.
* Work with stakeholders to understand their requirements and priorities, to advise on Platform capabilities to enhance the customer experience (CX), anddefine this work in the backlog.
* Demonstrate the Platform features to stakeholders, whererequired, either on-line or in-person. Articulating how the technology meets the customer needs and delivers a positive CX.
* Responsible for consistently delivering quality work to time; meeting estimates anddeadlines, andachieving a first-timepass throughquality assurance/ testing.
* Responsible for creating,leadingand performing unit tests, debugging,troubleshootingand optimising intermediate code and declarative solutions.
* Provide support to internal and external audit and compliance programmes. Ensure compliance on systems by supporting; internal and external audit (e.g. logical access reviews / ISO27001). This in the form of completing all relevant requests and ensuring no gapsremainon follow-ups.
* Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of policy and process within the team to promote best practice and adoption of industry frameworks including Agile and DevOps.
What we are looking for
* Demonstrable experience creatingandmodifyingnew D365 software.
* Experience managingreleasethroughenvironmentmanagement.
* Experience developing code through interactive use of VMs.
* A track recordofprovidingsupport forAPIs\ integrations and endpoints.
* Ability in developingversion agnosticin Azure DevOps (Visual Studio.Net), specificallyclasses (methods), custom code, andcustom data object development.
* Exposure to DevOps\ GitHub (coderepositoryproject library).
