An exciting job opportunity has arisen at Leeds United Football Club for an Academy Post 16 BTEC Sport Teacher based at our fabulous Academy located at our training ground in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
As an Academy Post 16 BTEC Sport Teacher you will be responsible to plan, deliver and assess formal education and coordinate the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship standards in the professional development phase (PDP).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning, delivery and assessment of the Level 3 BTEC Sport for Performance & Excellence
2. Creation, management and updating of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all players on the
Professional Development Phase (PDP) Full Time Training Model (FTTM)
3. Coordination of the Academy PDP A level provision
4. Coordination of PDP FTTM Education timetable and A Level tutor timetable in line with ILPs and training schedules/fixtures
5. Coordination and tracking of the knowledge, skills and behaviour (KSBs) for the Sporting Excellence Professional (SEP) Apprenticeship
6. Delivery of selected elements of the SEP KSBs
7. Preparation and support for players for SEP end point assessment.
8. Completion of registers and progress & behaviour tracking and monitoring systems.
9. Delivery of regular Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meeting presentations and data reports.
10. Provide regular written reports and reviews of players engaging in the Full Time Training Model (FTTM)
11. Provide feedback and support for player and parent/guardian reviews
12. Provide support and delivery as required for the Academy Holistic Development Programme (HDP)
13. Required qualifications, skills and experience:
14. Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)
15. Undergraduate degree
16. Experience in a sports performance environment
17. Experience & understanding of vocational qualifications
18. 3+ years teaching experience
19. Knowledge of Apprenticeships and involvement in KS5 education
20. FA DBS check
21. FA Safeguarding Children
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:
22. Previous experience working in a Category 1 Football Academy
23. Performance Coaching experience
