A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated and passionate individual to join the Patient Catering Department at Epsom and St Helier Hospital, in Sutton.

Managing the delivery of high quality Patient Catering Service across the Trust including all aspects of human and financial resource management will promoting theeffective communication between the clinical team and catering department.

Main duties of the job

* To be responsible for the management and delivery of high quality Patient catering service across the Trust, including all aspects of human and financial resource management.
* To assist the Deputy Head of Catering in the development of strategic operational plans, and policies whilst ensuring the delivery of a safe, quality, cost effective Patient Catering Service.
* To project manage various initiatives pertaining to the delivery of the above services.
* To manage the day to day effective communication between the clinical team and catering department
* To support the management of the retail catering operations across sites
* To work with Catering Dietician to ensure nutritional requirements are fulfilled for patient catering Services including seasonal patient menu development and implementation.

Qualifications

* Clear evidence of continuous personal, professional and managerial attainment and improvement


Skills

* Excellent analytical skills
* Ability to use Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent customer care skills.


Experience

* NHS Work Experience including Facilities Management Contractors


Knowledge

* Tools and methodology to achieve continuous service improvement.
* Management of Healthcare Patient Catering knowledge
* Innovative and creative
