We have two brand new vacancies within our fantastic Grounds Maintenance Team, to join them as Fencing Labourers The roles purpose is to assist in the delivery of high-quality fencing repairs and installation works to social housing properties and communal areas. Supporting skilled tradespeople, you will ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, helping to maintain safe and secure environments for residents.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.

Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
* Support the fencing team in the repair, replacement and installation of a wide range of fencing types (e.g. timber, metal, concrete post and panel, security fencing)
* Assist with setting out, digging post holes, mixing concrete, and installing posts and panels
* Clear and prepare sites for work, including the removal and disposal of old fencing, vegetation, and debris
* Use hand and power tools under supervision and in line with health and safety requirements
* Communicate effectively with tenants, colleagues and supervisors, maintaining a professional and respectful approach at all times
* Report any issues, hazards or safeguarding concerns encountered while working in or around tenant properties
We are looking for someone who has...
* Awareness of basic health & safety principles
* Basic understanding of construction or maintenance work, ideally within a housing or public sector environment
* Good level of physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual outdoor work in all weather
* Willingness to learn new skills and take instruction from experienced operatives
* Good team player with a proactive and positive attitude
* Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering quality work
* A full UK driving licence
